NCAAL Scholarship

Scholarship to support one LIS student to attend the National Conference of African American Librarians XII (NCAAL) in New Orleans, July 24-27, 2024. 

Award: $1,000 Grantee will receive support of $500 in advance of the trip and $500 upon completion of the trip with the submission of receipts.

Eligibility criteria

1. Applicant must self-identify as a Black/ African American Student

2. Applicant must reside in California

3. Applicant must submit a 500-word statement on how the NCAAL conference can be of value to one’s professional studies or career.

4. After attending the NCAAL conference, applicant must submit brief account of their experience at the conference.
